Mist and smoke can differ in size from .01 micron or smaller to 100 microns. Mechanical
generation, thermal generation or high pressure applications all play a part in deciding the
best way to filter the mist or smoke or combination. If the airborne contamination is oil
based or water based also has an impact! Once we understand the mist or smoke then we choose
the CORRECT filtration combination. We can do this because we represent leading companies

Impingers/Prefiltration offer basic filtration or pre-dropout for chips, larger particulate and droplets. These are generally washable filters that require minimal maintenance.
Media Filtration is a proven cost effective filter that if applied correctly will work very well for mist and particulate larger than 1 micron (mechanically produced). They can handle single shift or 24/7 operations. 1000 CFM to 50000 CFM. Filter life generally 6 months to 1 year.
ESP's (Electrostatic Precipitators) are an old technology developed in the 1940s that if applied properly is excellent for submicron particulate (We look at this type of filtration as a reusable HEPA). They can also offer the lowest operating cost of any type collection system. ESPís work great with oil based coolants and lubricants. The oil collects and runs right off the plates. The cells are washable and will last for years if properly taken care of. Manual wash and auto wash systems are available. These can be single pass up to triple pass. 500 CFM to 50,000 CFM.
